I went to a memorial service last night for Caleb Fullam..He was a local via Boston area..accomplished puppeteer,vivant,etc,,What I didn't know was that he was in a parallel bunnybrains band 10 years prior called Chuck Rocker and the Dirt Bombs featuring Desi Bollett.At the service we were treated to archival 8 and 16 mm films of all the men I see on a daily basis around town playing like the juiced up 25 yr olds they were back then.Flaming creatures settings,concerts in cherry orchards,lots of hair,eye shadow and damaged druggy foolery.They played some of Calebs music and I was stunned by it's ez roxymusic/bowie/rockyhorror trumping.It's great.I hope to get some copies to share

I hosted Cat Power last friday and it went pretty smooth..If u don;'t read all her past press or listen to haterz it can be a fun tyme..This guy hated it http://www.metroland.net/live.html
But he has to live in Albany so u do the math..The dinner we had was punctuated by people who had driven up from nycity to get away from people who stare at rock stars staring at a rock star..Chan is a super sweetypiepants and her friends are of the same stripe..I'm gonna try and put a warm weather event together w them and their fancy friends.Dana the soundperson is doin monitors for Slint in th UK and we got on a track about the relative paucity of their existence versus their influence,awe was in order.
